The Trio Machiavelli consists of Claire Huangci (piano), Solenne Païdassi (violin) and Tristan Cornut (cello).
The pianist Claire Huangci, winner of the first prize and the Mozart Prize at the Concours Géza Anda 2018, captivates her audience with "glittering virtuosity, creative sovereignty, alert interaction and subtle sound dramaturgy" (Salzburger Nachrichten). In solo recitals and as a partner of international orchestras such as the SWR Sinfonieorchester, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, the Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Claire Huangci performs in internationally renowned concert halls such as Carnegie Hall New York, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Elbphilharmonie, Gasteig Munich, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Salle Cortot and the Suntory Hall Tokyo as well as at festivals such as the Verbier Festival, the Ruhr Piano Festival and the Rheingau Music Festival.
The French violinist Solenne Païdassi won the first prize at the 2010 Long-Thibaud Competition and is a prizewinner of the International Joseph Joachim Violin Competition Hanover, the Tibor Varga Sion Valais Violin Competition and the Gyeongnam Competition in Korea. With her violin by Gian Battista Guadagnini (1784) she performed at Carnegie Hall New York, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam or the Salle Gaveau in Paris and was also a guest of important orchestras.
The cellist Tristan Cornut has already won prizes at numerous competitions such as the Gaspar Cassado Competition, the ARD Music Competition and the chamber music competitions in Melbourne and Trondheim. Since 2012 he has been the principal cellist of the cellos of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and has also appeared as solo cellist with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Resonanz, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
The paths of the three musicians already crossed in their early student days and at the ARD music competition. Since then Claire Huangci, Solenne Païdassi and Tristan Cornut have been united by a passion for making music together and a deep friendship.
