Iveta Apkalna interprets well-known organ pieces by Franz Liszt on her new single
Iveta Apkalna has made a special name for herself as a concert organist, as can be seen from her first recordings on the organ of the Elbphilharmonie and the double organ of Taiwan's Kaohsiung Center for the Arts. For her new album 'Triptychon', she has now chosen works by the three composers Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Liszt and Pēteris Vasks. Liszt makes the opening on her newly released single: with the 'Prelude' and the 'Fugue on B-A-C-H', Apkalna presents two well-known pieces by him, which show that he was not only a special virtuoso on the piano, but also excelled on the organ.
'Liszt: Prelude and Fugue on B-A-C-H, p.260' is available digitally everywhere.
