Limited collector’s box for Light & Dark by Iveta Apkalna

The world premiere recording of a solo organ program from the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg "Light & Dark" with titular organist Iveta Apkalna is available from JPC in a limited, comprehensive collector's box in LP format.

The heart is the CD Deluxe Edition with detailed 48-page booklet and poster of the organ in a high-quality slipcase.

A special feature of the limited edition is an organ pipe certified by Orgelbau Klais Bonn©. With exactly the same design, alloy and size it corresponds to the original pipe in the stop Octave 2' of the main of the Elbphilharmonie organ. When the far right button on the manuals is pressed, the whistle sounds and produces the tone c4 at approx. 8,640 Hz (oscillations per second) – the highest note of the register. It consists of a special alloy of tin (approx. 75%) and lead (approx. 25%). Every single pipe is made individually and exclusively by hand.

The Hamburg illustrator Gerd Schröder dedicated his drawing of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with graphite and scribtol on paper exclusively to this album. The collector's box contains a reprint of the work limited to 100 copies.

The same motif can be found on a high-quality grey tote bag made of 300g linen, which is also only available in this edition.

An autograph card personally signed by the titular organist Iveta Apkalna completes the package. This collector's edition will be available from September 7th in a matt-white cardboard box and can be pre-ordered here as of now.
